Fall is on the horizon and winter is most assuredly coming, so why not embrace everything the future has to offer with Forecast, a broad and ambitious celebration of emerging talent taking the stage at Haus der Kulturen der Welt. Soak up a little slice of the avant-garde and stay ahead of the curve all while enjoying the lush green oasis of Tiergarten for one last August weekend.

Haus der Kulturen der Welt // John-Foster-Dulles-Allee 10, 10557 Berlin

Performance / Import Projects

Saturday 29th August — 4pm

Canadian-based Paul Kneale brings computing into the gallery space with a performance of  systemic directives carried out autonimously. Revel in the mechanistic poetics of microwaved CDs and self-made „unboxing“ videos as Kneale explores the kinetics of information and experience as mediated by technology.

Import Projects // Keithstraße 10, 10787 Berlin

Vernissage / Isabella Bortolozzi

Saturday 29th August — 7pm

Richard Rezac’s stark minimal sculptures evoke the raw wonder of creation through clever compositions integrating intricate geometries and curious anachronisms into deft, daring and utterly delightful objects. Taking up a muted mid-century palette and transforming familiar materials into singular works of aesthetic wonder, Rezac demonstrates an uncommon mastery over material and message.

Isabella Bortolozzi // Schöneberger Ufer 61, 10785 Berlin

Vernissage / Galerie Max Hetzler I

Saturday 29th August — 6pm until 8pm

Warm, focused and brimming with life-force, the wildly expressionistic works of Ida Tursic and Wilfried Mille dance across the walls at Galerie Max Hezler I.  Firmly ensconced within the tradition of classical abstract expressionism, Tursic and Mille manage to breathe new life into a familiar form through sheer aesthetic force of will and deft, deliberate execution.
