Party & Austellung / ‘Pornceptual Does SomoS’ and Vintage Porn
Friday 24th October – 11pm
Our friends over at Pornceptual have been seriously busy this week, preparing not only a group exhibition – Pornceptual Does SomoS – featuring ubiquitous performance artist Mischa Badasyan, but also their latest vintage porn themed party at Prince Charles. For those looking for even more naughty but nice Pornceptual productions you can also check out their upcoming film, which will be shown in conjunction with this week’s Porn Film Festival Berlin.

Vernissage / ‘The Famous Box Trick’ at KWADRAT
Saturday 25th October – 6 until 10pm
Don’t miss German artist Tobias Dostal’s first solo show in Berlin this Saturday! Showcasing his whimsical take on magic and cinema, the phrase ‘Kopfkino’ immediately springs to mind when surveying his quirky short films. Master of the surreal and clearly inspired by vaudeville theatre and the beauty of old black and white flicks of yesteryear, Dostal also creates installations to kidnap the imagination of his audiences.

Vernissage / ‘Parallel Realities’ at Arndt
Sunday 26th October – 3 until 6pm
For those of you wanting to make the most of your Sunday and not just fritter it away in a kater induced wallow (or else in a dark converted power plant), why not take a trip to the lovely ARNDT gallery, where their latest exhibition ‘Parallel Realities’ will be unveiled between 3 and 6pm. Featuring the work of five Tibetan artists, the show will concentrate on exploring the individuals’ cultural heritages and the way in which their experiences cross geopolitical boundaries. An artist talk will take place at 4pm, and there’ll even be tea and scones. We’ll see you there.

Performance / ‘Kaleidoskopville. A Musical Theatre’ at Berliner Festspiele
Sunday 26th October – 6pm
Another very pleasant way to end the week is ‘Kaleidoskopville’, a musical theatre at Berliner Festspiele. Inspired by the set of Lars von Trier’s film ‘Dogville’, amongst other things, the performance will attempt to create a vision of a village crossing all borders, each musician contributing to this aural utopia and helping to re-think musical theatre.
