Art Fair: 6 – 9 October 2016
It’s the 14th edition of Frieze Art Fair and visitors can expect more than 160 of the world’s leading galleries alongside a non-profit programme of ambitious new artist commissions and talks. A new gallery section will focus on our beloved 1990s showing works curated by Geneva-based Nicolas Trembley. Also we love to hear that female artists will be put into the spotlight: Goshka Macuga, Latifa Echakch, Channa Horowitz – just to name a few – can be seen across the main section.

Viehof Collection / Deichtorhallen Hamburg

This month we will not only look at London’s art scene but also take on Hamburg, the city that’s always worth a visit. There you will be able to visit one of the most significant private collections, including works by Georg Baselitz, Neo Rauch and Daniel Richter. Altogether over 600 works by 75 artists will be on show, ranging from paintings, sculpture to photography and installations. Whoever will join us there, gets a Fischbrötchen!

Der rote Morpheus | Martina Stock
Finissage and artist talk: Sunday, 30 October 2016 at 4 pm
The artist Martina Stock turns the exhibition space into a dream sequence that confronts the viewer with her serigraphs and playing the harp, and thus can be part of the staging. During the term of the exhibition, she developed another series of serigraphs – based photographic self-portraits in the space created by it. This new work, their reflections on the issue, Martina Stock will premiere at the finissage on 30 October. The artist talk will be presented by Dr. Silke Krohn.
