Live painting & exhibition / Urban Art Clash at Urban Spree

Berlin Graphic Days are back with another exhibition featuring the Urban Art Clash collective. Located at Urban Spree, the event runs until Sunday and features national and international graphic designers, illustrators, screen printers and other urban artists, live painting and selling their work at the weekend market; which will include over 60 artists. The event on Thursday night will include live painting from the Urban Art Clash collective, as well as an art raffle and live music. Exhibition & Store Opening / Impossible Partner Store Opening

When Polaroid announced they were discontinuing their iconic photography brand a few years back, photography enthusiasts the world over gasped in horror. Luckily The Impossible Project stepped in, buying the last ever Polaroid film manufacturing factory and carrying on the beautiful legacy. Thursday night sees the opening of the first Impossible Partner store in Berlin, with an exhibition by Berlin based photographer Oliver Blohm entitled ‚The Impossible Nuke‘. Displaying some of Blohm’s polaroids which have undergone a very special microwave session, you too have the chance to ’nuke‘ your own polaroid images at the opening!

Music & Performance Art / CTM 2014

This Monday 19 international artist-makers gathered to spend a week together, hacking and combining different instruments for a live performance. Experimenting with new and old analogue and electronic mixing techniques, the fruits of their labor will be presented on Sunday 26th January at HAU, but on Friday the doors to their creative studios will be flung open to the public with a free, group music performance.

Vernissage / Toy Boys #2 at Kreuzberg Pavillon

Berlin/New York based artist and all round wonderfully eccentric character Jonny Star presents her latest exhibition, ‚Toy Boys #2‘ at Kreuzberg Pavillon this Saturday. Following on from her first Toy Boys exhibition last summer, the show will include around ten international male artists including popular Berlin based painter Jim Avignon, who will also be included in the aforementioned Berlin Graphic Days event.

Vernissage / Crash Pad at KW

In anticipation of the 8th Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art, KW presents ‚Crash Pad‘, a room installation by Norweigian-Greek artist and architect Andreas Angelidakis. A space for events, discussion and exchange, the room includes a library in the front KW building, drawing upon the idea of 19th century salon as a setting for cultural and political conversations.
